David Bridel ⟩ Educator

A room full of students and collaborators… An invitation to see what happens… The unique opportunity to make new discoveries… I have always loved working in the free space of the acting or movement studio. Good fortune and hard work have taken me from Europe via Israel to the USA and beyond, and I’ve had fruitful experiences at many wonderful and inspiring institutions, including the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, The Actors Center (NY), Cal Arts, UCLA, and SUNY Purchase. My home is currently the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts, where I am the Associate Director for the MFA in Acting, and I am fortunate to work with beloved and gifted colleagues. I also run the Clown School in LA and continue to work with private clients, while continuing to build a profile internationally. And it is often a source of great joy to work in non-theatrical environments, too – my residencies at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, for example, or working with developmentally challenged adults at the Arc Otsego in upstate New York, have been challenging and incredibly rewarding.
